Returning for a second year AsparaFest mixes a music festival with a strong food element and takes place at Ashdown Farm, Badsey, Nr Evesham, in Worcestershire from 10am on Saturday 31st May & Sunday 1st June 2014.

Line-up

Expect a line-up of music acts alongside traditional Morris Dance, Belly dancers, Bhangra Dance, Molly Dancers, Appalachian Step and Sword Dancing. The first acts confirmed are Rory McLeod, Kristy Gallacher, Biggles Wartime Band, Jennifer Ludlow, Ruby Lamont, Boat to Row, The Fresh Dixie Project, Flatworld, Sam Holmes, and Two Man Ting,

Tickets are priced at £17.50 for the weekend with camping, and Weekend Family with Camping (Up to 2 adults & 3 10-17s) ticket is priced at £47, a weekend with camping U18 (only valid with Adult ticket) ticket is priced at £12, a weekend without camping ticket is £10, and an under 18 no camping ticket is £7, a family weekend no camping ticket is £27, and children aged under 10 years can attend free.

Asparafest is a new friendly festival billed as an extreme village fete. An A to Z of weekend entertainment from Asparagus Eating Competitions through to a Zoo of the petting variety. Festival goers can expect music, the freshest of food, fascinating farm & country crafts, frolicsome fun, barrels of beer, and asparagus in a chilled atmosphere suitable for families.

Demonstrations and Exhibitors

Many old and traditional crafts will be demonstrated across the two-days of the Festival with the traditions of the British isles being reinforced by the attendance of Morris sides.

Expect also vintage stalls, steam engines, amazing displays of agricultural machinery from times past and more.

Toddlers to teenagers will all find something to do at AsparaFest. A petting zoo, a vintage fair and the Youth Activity Zone, and an arts and crafts tent.
