African musicians have come together to teach and perform in the only African music, arts and dance festival in Scotland.

With drumming teachers, Chartwell Dutiro, Ali Bangoura, Jali Kebba Suso, Mockolu Sawane, Baba Kone, Issa Sawane, and Magatte Dieng booked so far, there will be classes for total beginners right up to those looking for advanced techniques. There will also be new classes in solo drumming plus instrument tuition including m’bira, balafon and kora, and traditional song and dance from various parts of Africa.

In the evening there will be performances. Other events include drum circles, storytelling, and arts and crafts activities. There's obviously a very scenic camp site and decorated African village, luxury toilets and hot showers.

This year the organisers have introduced some complementary therapies to be included as part of the ticket price. There will also be a chill-out zone for those who feel like unwinding after a full day’s activity.

Book early: Ticket numbers are very limited.
