The acts have been announced for the community concerts that precede the Hebridean Celtic Festival, which takes place around Stornoway, on the OuterHebrides of Scotland from Thursday 19th to Saturday 21st July 2018

Saltfishforty, Douglas Montgomery, Jenny Keldie and Brian Cromarty, Linda Macleod, Kathleen MacInnes will open the programme on Wednesday 18th July at An Lanntair Arts Centre, as part of celebrations to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War.

The following nights of the festival, will see Alasdair Fraser & Natalie Haas, BLASTa, Arthur Cormack & Friends performing at An Lanntair. Also announced today for community concerts are Trail West, and Vishten.

Previously confirmed for the festival are headliners Deacon Blue, The Fratellis, Eddie Reader and Roddy Woomble, as well as Skippinish, Blazin' Fiddles, Trip, Kinnaris Quintet, Adam Sutherland, Martha. L Healy, Habadekuk, Yves Lambert Trio, Niteworks, The Sea Atlas, Tide Lines, The Tumbling Souls, and Adam Sutherland.

As well as music, Stornoway and nearby isles will also feature workshops, Gaelic language tasters, children's entertainment, and a fire show finale on Saturday.

Tickets are priced at £93 for adults, £83 for concessions, or £30 for children (7-14). Those aged 6 can under can attend for free.
