Arctic Monkeys lead first acts for Japan's Summer Sonic

Arctic Monkeys, Robert Plant and The Strange Sensation, Avenged Sevenfold, and Phoenix are the first acts confirmed for Japan's Summer Sonic now in it's 15th year taking place on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th August at the twin sites of Chiba Marine Stadium& Makuhari Messe, Tokyo and Maishima Sports Island, Osaka.

They are the first of more than 120 acts who will be announced to appear across 8 stages.  The line-up is a mix of international acts alongside local ones from both major and indie record companies.

Ticket prices have not yet been announced and are not yet on sale.

The majority of the bands playing in Osaka the first day go to Chiba (Tokyo) the following day and vice versa.
