The clock is ticking down until tickets for next year's Glastonbury Festival 2013 go on sale, with this weekend left for those wanting to buy tickets to register.

In order to buy a ticket festival goers must be registered, with online registration only taking a few minutes, this needs to be completed before trying to buy a ticket.

It is important to note that those who registered their details online do still have valid numbers for buying tickets for 2013. click here to check you are registered.

Registration will be temporarily suspended before and during the main ticket selling period, with ticket registration closing on Sunday 30th September, and will remain closed until tickets go on sale from 9am on Sunday 7th October.

Seetickets aim to respond to all registrations within 24 hours during the working week. If you have not had a response from them within that time frame we would suggest the following 3 courses of action:

1) Check your spam/junk email folder, in case your email has been rejected by your service provider

2) Check online at glastonbury.seetickets.com/registration/lookup to see if your registration has been approved

3) Re-register at www.glastonburyregistration.co.uk

Anyone who registered prior to the 2007 Festival will need to submit a new registration, and registrations can also be edited by clicking here.

Tickets for next year's Glastonbury Festival will go on sale at 9am on Sunday 7th October priced at 205 + £5 booking fee (plus £6 postage). All tickets must be reserved using the deposit scheme at a price of £50 per person, with up to 8 tickets per transaction. There will then be no further UK payments taken until the booking site re-opens on the first week of April 2013 following the Easter Weekend when deposit purchasers will have one week to pay the balance of £155 per ticket, and to book everything else they might need (tipis, campervan tickets, parking, insurance).

For UK based Festival goers this will be from 9am Tuesday 2nd April until 23:59 Monday 8th April for international tickets balance payments will be taken from 9am (GMT) Monday 25th February until 23:59 (GMT) Sunday 3rd March 2013.

Everyone aged over 12 on Wednesday 26th June 2013 (when the Festival starts) who plans to the come the Festival, must register. Children aged 12 and under do not require tickets and do not need to register.

Registration requires providing basic contact details and uploading a passport-standard photo. Once the photo has been approved, registers are sent a unique registration number that will need to be quoted to book a ticket.

Registration does not reserve or guarantee you a ticket when they go on sale, but if you don't register you will not be able to buy a weekend ticket for Glastonbury Festival 2013. If you opt to save this information you will be able to use your registration number again in future years. Make sure the e-mail address you provide is one to which you will have long term access.

Next year's Glastonbury runs for five full days from Wednesday 26th until Sunday 30th June 2013 across a 1,000 acres of beautiful countryside at Worthy Farm, Somerset. As ever, entry includes a free programme. Once again, the Festival will be raising funds for Oxfam, Wateraid, Greenpeace and a host of local charities and causes (in 2011, more than £2m was raised).

Expect something like 2,000 performances at 50 or so venues including music, cabaret, theatre, circus, a fantastic Kidz area, poetry, green crafts and information and loads, loads more ... much more than just the music, so make sure you check it all out!
