Kraftwerk announced for Sweden's Way Out West

Kraftwerk are the latest act to be announced for Way Out West takes place in Gothenburg, Sweden from Thursday 9th until Saturday 11th August 2012.

Kraftwerk will be performing their acclaimed 3D concert (stylish spectacles will be provided free of charge), and delivering a visual display alongside 'Autobahn', 'Tour De France', 'Radio-Activity' and 'The Man-Machine', alongside 'The Model', 'Showroom Dummies', and 'The Robots'.

The event hosts national and international acts at venues all over the city; rock clubs, nightclubs, churches, theatres and cultural centres are all used to showcase breaking and more established acts as part of the festivals club concept, Stay Out West.

Other recent line-up additions include The Afghan Whigs, Ane Brun, Ben Howard, Best Coast, Bobby Womack, Frida Hyvonen, I Break Horses, Jonathan Richman, Kraftwerk, Mark Lanegan, Miike Snow, Oberhofer, OFWGKTA, and The Royal Concept.

With the Club 'Stay Out West' part of the line-up hosting 7 Seconds, The Adolescents, Alt-J, Bowerbirds, Boy & Bear, Ceremony, Cloud Nothings, El Perro Del Mar, Friends, Here We Go Magic, Jacuzzi Boys, John Maus, Kindness, Lower Dens, Megafaun, MemoryHouse, Purity Ring, Rodriguez, Sibille Attar, Swans, Zero Boys, and Zhala.

The main festival takes place in the 137 hectare park of Slottsskogen in Gothenburg on the Friday and Saturday of the festival weekend. Other acts perform at various venues in and around central Gothenburg on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

The acts confirmed previously confirmed include Blur, The Black Keys, Refused, Bon Iver, Florence +The Machine, Hot Chip, Feist, Frank Ocean, First Aid Kit, Thurston Moore, Wilco, St. Vincent, Billy Bragg, Azealia Banks, A$ap Rocky, The Field, Deportees, The Afghan Whigs, Yelawolf, The War On Drugs, and The Concept.

With Stay Out West hosting Mazzy Star, Factory Floor, King Krule, Madeon, Iceage, Django Django, Josh T Pearson, Bob Mould plays Copper Blur, Haim, Korallreven, Papa M, Milagres, Solander, Lune, Swamp81 (Loefah, Boddika, Mickey Pearce plus Chunky), and Numbers (Jackmaster, Deadboy, Redinho, Spencer and Oneman).
