Edwyn Collins, and B>E>A>K lead the latest additions to the 'Fairy Tales & Comic Books' themed Kendal Calling, held at Lowther Deer Park, Hackthorpe, in East Cumbria over the weekend of Friday 27th to Sunday 29th July, with early entry available on Thursday.

The Tim Peaks Diner makes it's debut at this year's festival. Starting life on BBC 6Music, Tim Peaks Diner is the creation of The Charlatans' frontman Tim Burgess and this year he curates 3 days of music, book readings, live art, DJs, breakfasts, afternoon tea, jukebox jives, coffee, and more.

Artists set to drop in and perform or join Dave Haslam for Q&A's, and book readings include the previously announced Haircut 100 singer Nick Heyward as well as Edwyn Collins, B>E>A>K, and music journalist and brother to two members of British Sea Power Roy Wilkinson, plus more poetry, book readings and special guests.

The Jukebox's line-up of DJS will include Black Cat DJs, Beat Boutique, AlkertraX & CeefaX, and more.

There will also be giant live art in the form of a mosaic that revellers can help create during the 3 days, and Tim Burgess namesake Tim Burgess the Chainsaw Sculptor will be making wooden creations, whilst Marcus Hislop will be painting live canvasses.

Tim Peaks Diner attendees can also have afternoon tea or try Tim's exclusive Kendal Calling breakfast cereal 'Totes Amazeballs' created by Kelloggs, with all profits going to the Foundation set up by award-winning film director David Lynch.

Friday night will be headed up by Maximo Park, Saturday night will see the return to Kendal Calling of Dizzee Rascal, and Sunday night will be closed by James. Also confirmed are Shy FX, Benga, Andy C, Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, Feeder, Dreadzone, Little Roy, Shed Seven, Jack Beats (DJ set), Dodgy, Inspiral Carpets, Utah Saints, Ms Dynamite, Vintage Trouble, Ghostpoet, Twisted Wheel, 16bit, A Skillz, Phaeleh, Various Cruelties, To Kill A King, Dub Pistols (DJ Set), Juan Zelada, The Lancashire Hotpots, The Correspondents, Monster Ceilidh Band, Olugbenga (Metronomy DJ Set), Bombskare, Whiskycats, and many more.

Now in its seventh year, the wholly independent Kendal Calling offers eleven diverse stages and areas, these include Mainstage, GLoW dance tent, Calling Out new music stage, Kaylied tent, Soapbox, Kids Area, Kendal Calling Real Ale Festival tent, Garden of Eden, Village Green, New Woodland area (details tba), Happy Slap boutique, Riot Jazz, Houseparty and new for 2012; Tim Peak's Diner with Tim Burgess of the Charlatans.

The family friendly event offers 3 days of dancing, juggling, contortionists, comedy, site art and much more. Plus posh camping options in the revamped Emperors Fields.

An adult weekend ticket is priced at £105, a child (11-14 years) weekend ticket were priced at £50, and children under 11 can attend for free, but needed a ticket. Anyone under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.

Thursday early bird tickets are priced at £10 (only valid with a full weekend ticket).

Traditional festival camping is at no extra cost and included in ticket price. There is also the new and improved Emperors Fields an all quiet camping and ideal for families. To stay here is an additional £25 per adult, a child (11-14 years) is £12.50 per person, and children under 11 can attend for free. Campervan or Caravan fields are £50 per vehicle pass in Emperors Fields area, which includes two adults. Any additional adults or children will need an Emperors Fields ticket per person.
