The View, as Friday main stage headliners lead the latest acts announced for Y-Not Festival, taking place from Friday 3rd until Sunday 5th August 2012 near Matlock in Derbyshire.

Also confirmed for the main stage are The Crookes, Smiling Ivy, Vintage Trouble, Black Fuzz, Hadouken!, Frankie And The Heartstrings, and The Black Hands, with Bastille, and Lucy Rose also added to The Quarry Stage line-up.

They join the previously announced The Wombats headline Saturday, and We Are Scientists will headline Sunday, with The Pigeon Detectives, Reverend And The Makers, Frightened Rabbit, The Subways, Summer Camp, Future Of The Left, Ghostpoet, King Charles, Huey Morgan, Various Cruelties, General Fiasco, Vadoinmessico, BIGKids, FOE, Federation of The Disco Pimp, Jenny O., British Sea Power, Pulled Apart By Horses, Little Comets, Slow Club, The Cast of Cheers, Sound Of Guns, Fixers, Proxies, Phantom Limb, Skinny Lister, The Good Natured, Young Aviators, ME, Dinosaur Pile Up, Canterbury, Straight Lines, Exit Ten, Delta/Alaska, Rolo Tomassi, Lower Than Atlantis, The Xcerts, Turbowolf, Brontide, Tall Ships, &U&I, Hawk Eyes, Marmozets, The Black & Reds, Fever Fever, Freeze The Atlantic, In Flight Program, Them Wolves, Juan Zelada, Masters In France, Jim Lockey and more, with BBC Introducing acts to be confirmed, expect around 80 acts in total.

The festival, now in its seventh year, has a capacity of 5,000 people, and aside from the music on three stages, and is a showcase for all that is fresh and exciting in global music. From emerging talent and breaking bands to established acts. The festival attempts to have an intimate nature, with many of the bands camping with festival goers, and friendly stewards. Late night entertainment includes a dance tent, and camp fire singalongs.

This year's improvements include a new stage, a bigger line-up, a new arena, more stalls, more food, more to do onsite, improved camping facilities, with site access on Thursday possible for the first 2,000 at £9 per ticket.
