The Mars Volta will headline the second stage at this summer's Hard Rock Calling in Hyde Park.

The progressive rockers will be headlining the second stage on Friday, the day headlined by Soundgarden. Bruce Springsteen returns to headline the Saturday night. Sunday sees Paul Simon performing the album 'Graceland' in its entirety, along with some of his greatest hits. He'll be joined on stage by Jimmy Cliff, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Also confirmed are Iggy & The Stooges, John Fogerty, Alison Krauss, Cold Chisel, Lady Antebellum, Christina Perri, Black Stone Cherry, Amy MacDonald, Big Country, Kids in Glass Houses, Dawes, Guillemots, Skindred, Gary Clark Jr, Punch Brothers, Life In Film, Needtobreathe, Robert Randolph, The Night, Robert Ellis, Jonathan Wilson, Marlon Roudette, and Marcus Foster. The established London open air music event showcases well known international acts, and a few legends over three days, from Friday 13th until Sunday 15th July 2012, and has a genuine festival feel to it.

Tickets for Friday are priced at £50. Tickets for Sunday at Hard Rock Calling are on sale priced at £55. Tickets were priced at £60 for Saturday and have sold out.
