Lee Scratch Perry, Roots Manuva, and Four Tet are among the first acts announced for the new Golden Down Festival which takes place from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th June 2012 at Black Bush Valley on the Matterley Estate, in Hampshire.

Other acts confirmed for the three day over 18s only event which also offers camping are , Apparat, The Herbaliser, Ghostpoet, Dub Pistols, Kerri Chandler, Portable, Pearson Sound, Julio Bashmore, Ben UFO, Space Dimension Controller, Midland, Lucy Rose, Submotion Orchestra, Floating Points, Portico Quartet, Slow Club, Adrian Sherwood, Stealing Sheep, and The Frown.

Golden Down promises food, bars with local beers, ciders and wines and has a capacity of 5,000. Camping is included in the ticket price and is a few hundred metres from the main festival site. No camp fires or barbecues will be allowed on the camping site or anywhere on the festival site. If you want to bring a camper van then you will be directed to a separate camping area and there is an additional charge of £55 for camper vans/mobile homes.
