The Big Session embraces the artists and the audience in an informal atmosphere of big shows, small gatherings and unique collaborations, always with music, tasty food & drink, stunning vistas and great company at its heart. Beyond the music the Big Session prides itself on great family engagement. "The Orchard" space provides hands on activities, workshops, builds, music and entertainment for the whole family in the English countryside.

The Big Session grew out of the spirit of after-hours music sessions between artists and festival goers and started in 2005 at De Montfort Hall, before taking to the road last year and hosting a day at Devon's Beautiful Days it returns as a full three day event again this year.
