Amon Amarth for Hammerfest 2012

Amon Amarth lead the latest acts announced for next March's Hammerfest IV.

Viking metal band Amon Amarth are confirmed for a main stage appearance on Saturday night at the Hammer of Thor themed event in March.

Joining them will be German power metallers Wizard, and American Thrash lords Exodus who will take centre stage for a double Thrash header with Anthrax on Friday night.

Also announced for the line-up for HF 4 are Hell, Arthemis, Chemicals Of Democracy, Achren, Evil Scarecrow, Anterior, Holosade, Virus, Hammer Of The Gods, Gentleman Of Distorted Sound, Trucker Diablo, Kyrbgrinder, Spirytus, Savage Outlaw, Inferno, and The Painted Smiles led by ex Six Th frontman, Mikee Goodman.

They join the previously confirmed are Anthrax, Skindred, Exodus, Amon Amarth, Paradise Lost, Chimaira, Heavens Basement, Lawnmower Death, Sci Fi Mafia, Fury UK, and Mortad.

Hammerfest the festival for metal fans run by the people put on Hard Rock Hell and Metal Hammer returns for its fourth year from Thurday 15th to Saturday 17th March 2012 at Pontins Holiday Camp in Prestatyn, in North Wales.

Weekend tickets, for anyone 16+ years old, are available and include two night's accommodation in holiday apartments. Tickets are available priced from £116 per head, based on a group of six people sharing a silver chalet.

Tickets include two nights' accommodation and entrance to all 6 arenas as well as free car parking. Only VIP tickets include accommodation for the additional Thursday night, alternatively Thursday night add ons can be purchased for an additional £30.
