Fresh from appearances at Glastonbury and Ibiza Erol Alkan will headline Friday in the festival's Club Snafu dance arena, with The Japanese Popstars headlining on the decks on Saturday.

Steve Morris, of Aberdeen based club Snafu said, "This is a huge booking for us of a major artist and fans of dance music everywhere will not want to miss this set. It's great that we are able to attract DJ's of this calibre to Wizard and with Japanese Popstars confirmed for the second night fans will not be disappointed with this year's line-up."

Jon Fratelli is also confirmed for a main stage slot at the festival. Playing with original Fratellis drummer Mince Fratelli, he will be showcasing new songs whilst delving into his considerable back catalogue of Fratelli hits.

Liverpool band Sound Of Guns will also perform at this year's event on Friday on the festival's main stage.

Back as compere for the festival is Scottish DJ Jim Gellatly who will be the official voice of the main stage and also announce acts on the festival's second stage, where up and coming acts are given the opportunity to perform.

Roy Thain, Wizard Festival organiser said: "This will be the third year that we have hosted a dance and DJ arena at the festival and each time we are attracting bigger and better acts to this stage. Along with the announcements we have also confirmed today this proves that we have catered for music fans across the board."

The Stranglers will headline Friday, and Cast Saturday, with The Magic Numbers, The Saw Doctors, The Twang, Tommy Reilly, and The Bad Shepherds also confirmed, with many more yet to be announced. Wizard offers music across 4 stages.
