The first acts have been announced for Festinho held at Hinwick House, Wellingborough in Bedfordshire over the bank holiday weekend from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th August 2011. The 'Heroes' themed festival that hopes to help the street kids of Brazil.

The line-up confirmations are (in alphabetical order) are Emily Davies, Echaskech, Hot Feet, Will Jeffery, Maniere des Bohemiens, Marthas & Arthurs, My Tiger My Timing, Origami Biro, Skinny Lister, The Shadow Orchestra, Sunday Driver, Treetop Flyers, and Tyde (folk) with more acts still to be announced.

They will appear on either the Main Stage (set in a Grade II listed walled garden), the Rave Up in The Woods, the Harvest Stage or the Clocktower. There will also be wandering entertainment throughout the site as well as plenty of bars, stalls and fun in the woods around Hinwick House.

Tickets are priced at £60 (or £90 with camping) for a full weekend adult ticket with camping. Tickets for under 16s are priced at £30 (or £45 with camping), with under 5s able to attend for free but require a ticket. Sunday adult day tickets are also available priced at £30, under 16s £15. The festival offers a line-up of up-and-coming talent alongside more famous names across all musical genres, as well as art spaces, film screenings and plenty of Brazilian flavour.

Festival goers can expect Tea rooms, a Casino, Picture House, four bars, food stalls, a disco shed, Feel Good Woods, a kids play area, Body & Soul healing zone, cream teas, daily BBQs, fancy dress, Brazilian art workshops, samba, percussion, art exhibition areas, campfire sessions, high quality camping and plenty of good toilets with hot showers.

There will also be fun and games for kids (and, if there are any real grown ups, then them too) all over the site. Angel Gardens will be there alongside bedtime stories around campfires, a hidden Art Trail, Healers and the Kids Carnival.

A full programme of Cabaret and Comedy acts too, in the comfort of a cosy corner of the House. Site opens at 3pm Friday, and everyone must be off site by noon on Monday.

All profits from the event go to the ABC Trust (www.abctrust.org.uk), a UK based charity that supports community art projects in Brazil geared towards developing skills and interests amongst less privileged children.
