Rod Stewart has been announced as Sunday night headliner for Hard Rock Calling.

With a career spanning nearly half a century, seven number-one hit singles and a further 27 top-ten albums in the UK alone, Rod Stewart will make his first appearance at London's Hard Rock Calling 2011. Expect Rod to deliver a set of hits including 'Maggie May', 'You Wear It Well', 'You're In My Heart', 'Da Ya Think I'm Sexy', 'Sailing' and 'Baby Jane' when he headlines on Sunday 26th June in London's Hyde Park.

"We are thrilled to add him as a Hard Rock Calling headliner and to include him in our 40th anniversary celebration."

Live Nation's Vice President of Promotions, Toby Leighton-Pope commented, "We're excited to confirm Rod Stewart for the Sunday headline slot at Hard Rock Calling, as his shows really get the audience rocking and it's going to be a real treat for fans on 26 June. It will be spectacular."

Day tickets for the Sunday will be priced at £55, and will go on sale at 9am on Friday 11th March, and eFestivals will have links to buy them then.

Hard Rock Calling is an established London open air music event which showcases well known international acts, and a few legends over three days, and has a genuine festival feel to it.

The dates for the three days of Hard Rock Calling 2011 are from Friday 24th until Sunday 26th June with gates expected to open at 1pm, the music starting at 3pm, and ending at approximately 10:30pm on all three days.
