Hayseed Dixie, and Cerys Matthews lead the announcement of the first acts confirmed to play The Acoustic Festival of Britain.

Hayseed Dixie, and Cerys Matthews have been announced as Friday night headliners, with T.Rextasy, and Nottingham's Seven Little Sisters amongst the other acts also confirmed.

A guitar theme is to run through the festival which is reflected in the confirmation of Johnny Dickson, Rodney Branigan, Rick Payne, Guy Maile, Steve Chapman Smith, Steve Picken, and Jack Blackman. More acts will be confirmed over the coming months.

The Acoustic Festival of Britain offers four stages of unplugged and acoustic music covering live folk guitar music, country music, bluegrass, with a few legends, and some tribute acts. Now in it's sixth year the festival is held from Friday 20th until Sunday 22nd May 2011 at Uttoxeter Racecourse, in Staffordshire.

Early bird tickets are due on sale on Monday 1st November and prices are not yet confirmed.
