Ten years on from its first poolside BBQ, Standon Calling has announced their musical line-up for its 2010 edition. Orquestra Buena Vista Social Club featuring Omara Portuondo who will be headlining Sunday night of the festival. Headlining Friday night on the Main Stage will be Liars.

Other acts confirmed as performing on the main stage include Efterklang, The Phenomenal Handclap Band, The Phantom Band, Clock Opera, Sound of Rum, Delirium Tremens, and Yearner Babies.

Acts performing on the Twisted Licks stage curated by East London promoters Twisted Licks includes These New Puritans who will headline, with Gilles Peterson, Fucked Up, Pantha du Prince, Delorean, Esben and the Witch, Gold Panda, Factory Floor, and Egyptian Hip Hop also confirmed.

The second stage will also have performances from Bo Ningen, Summer Camp, North Atlantic Oscillation, The Megaphonic Thrift, Revere, The Violet May, Tom Ravenscroft, Mr. Fogg, White Heat DJs, and God Dont Like It DJs.

The Crooked House stage will play host to A Hawk And A Hacksaw, Joe Gideon & The Shark, Anna Calvi, The Ruby Suns, Plants and Animals, Gabby Young and other Animals, Anthony Joseph and the Spasm Band, Erland and the Carnival, Jesca Hoop, The Fabulous Penetrators, Fran & Josh, Pica Pica, and Tristram.

The DJ line-up headed for the Hertfordshire manor house and performing at The Alcatraz Club include Eddy Temple Morris, Dave Haslam, Jagz Kooner, Radioproof, Tim Fanucci, and CantMixWontMixShdntMixDontMix.

The entertainment at Standon Calling consists of more than just the music. The event is committed to showcasing exciting artists of all ilks, and will offer some intriguing art and performances of a different nature altogether. Expect some added mystery and mayhem at Standon Calling 2010 as its annual theme takes a dark twist, in the form of Murder on the Standon Express – cue trench coats and trilbies, swag bags and hidden treasure, film noir and pistols at dawn. Further details about on site artwork, additional cultural programming, kids activities, plus lots more including interactive theatre, Dr Sketchy's Burlesque Life Drawing, The Great Brain Robbery, and for fans of literature and spoken word The Book Club Boutique returns again this year with its very own Speakeasy.

The backdrop for this 10th Anniversary celebration taking place from Friday 6th until Sunday 8th August, 2010 is the 16th century manor house and grounds of Standon, in Hertfordshire. Complete with swimming pool which houses an underwater disco, a host of late night surprises, secret stages and unexpected performances and market-style street food stalls, Standon Calling will this year also launch its very own local produce boxes in its ongoing support of local agricultural industries, which will accompany the fully stocked festival bars featuring local beers and ales.

An adult weekend ticket with camping is priced at £95, a teen (13-17) ticket is priced at £75, children aged 12 and under can go free.
