Tommy Tiernan headlines the comedy line-up at Electric Picnic

Tommy Tiernan, Stephen Frost's Improv Allstars, and Andy Smart, top the line-up of comedians announced for Ireland's Electric Picnic.

The Stradbelly comedy stage will be headlined by Irish comic Tommy Tiernan who will be making his only Irish festival performance.

Stradbelly Laughs will also host the Stephen Frost's Improv Allstars featuring Andy Smart, Steve Steen, Richard Vranch, and Ian Coppinger alongside Stephen Frost.

The comedy line-up also features stand up from Sean Hughes, Phil Nichol, Brendon Burns, Gavin Webster, Kevin Bridges, Joe Rooney, and Eric Lalor.

Sketch group Dead Cat Bounce, join a the mix of superstars, comedy circuit stalwarts and the best of emerging talent all under the stewardship of the MCs for the weekend the I Dare Ya (RTÉ2) duo of Andrew Stanley, and Damien Clarke.

Back for its sixth year, Electric Picnic is held a month later this year, on Friday 4th to Sunday 6th September at Stradbally Hall Estate, Co Laois - less than an hour from Dublin.

The line-up includes the previously announced Orbital, The Flaming Lips, Basement Jaxx, Madness, MGMT, Fleet Foxes, Klaxons, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Bell X1, Chic, Seasick Steve, 2manydjs, Lisa Hannigan, Explosions In The Sky, ABC, Damien Dempsey, Alabama 3, Bat For Lashes, Zero 7, Erol Alkan, Roots Manuva, The Sugarhill Gang, Billy Bragg, Lykke Li, Imelda May, Echo And The Bunnymen, Magazine, and many more. Tickets are priced at 240 euros for an adult weekend ticket. There are no single day tickets. Family Camping Tickets and Campervan Tickets are now sold out.
