There's more arts additions announced for this summer's Latitude Festival.

cabaret: Lucifire
Confirmed for the Music & Film Arena is a Q&A with Climate Change Secretary Ed Miliband MP and Franny Armstrong director of Age Of Stupid which will be shown at the festival. The film addresses the issue of climate change, resource wars, consumerism, and the need for personal and social change. In the same arena Noah And The Whale will present 'The First Days Of Spring', a film created by frontman Charlie Fink to accompany the their latest album. Finally Smoke Fairies will also be performing in this arena.

New additions for the Literary Arena include conceptual artists Jake & Dinos Chapman interviewed by Miranda Sawyer, playwright Ché Walker, and Sketchatron the biggest sketch showcase in the UK with Penny Dreadfuls, and Pappy's Fun Club.

Performing in the Comedy Arena will be Brendon Burns, and Jamie Kilstein.

The Waterfront Stage will see dance from Sadler's Wells who bring bring an excerpt from 'Swan Lake', and there's freestyle hip hop from Psycho Stylez the Scottish breakdance crew. Also announced is 'The Art of Not Looking Back' by Hofesh Shechter, and Sadler's Wells Dance Club in Pandora's Playground.

Pandora's Playground will host side shows, interactive art, dance troupes, and theatre with Scrabble Sunday a referee on hand to rule on any arguments, and prizes awarded to those who come up with extra special words. Social games organisers Hide&Seek bring smuggling in 'Checkpoint', 'Reality Reality Helmet Experience' with a multitude of realities to chose from, and 'Grandmother's Footsteps' mixing the playground game statues with puppetry. Plus theatre from Seraph Id with an aerial dance theatre interpretation of Oscar Wilde's 'The Nightingale and The Rose', and Bootworks Theatre Collective with 'the Little Box of Horrors'.

The Cabaret Arena sees underground cabaret artist Lucifire brings 'The Furry Bitches From Hell', and is also joined Alternative Miss World winner Fancy Chance. There will also be music from Fat 45, and comedy from Penny Dreadfuls, and the Disco Shed.

THePETEBOX, and Adriano Adewale have been announced for the Poetry Arena, and theatre piece 'Teenager Of The Year'.

These latest additions join a line-up that is headlined by Pet Shop Boys on Friday, Grace Jones on Saturday, and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds on Sunday. Other acts playing over the weekend include White Lies, The Pretenders, Thom Yorke, Squeeze, Mew, Ladyhawke, Teitur, Bat For Lashes, Spiritualized, Magazine, Newton Faulkner, Doves, Editors, Gossip, Turin Brakes (acoustic), Belle & Sebastian (DJ set), Music Go Music, Hjaltalin, Little Boots, Band Of Skulls, Yes Giantess, Sugar Crisis, Dear Reader, Catherine A.D., Jonathan Jeremiah, Alan Pownall, First Aid Kit, Sound Of Guns, Golden Silvers, Slow Club, Post War Years, The XX, Pulled Apart By Horses, Joe Gideon & The Shark, Dag For Dag, 2 Hot 2 Sweat, The Late Greats, and The Chakras. Latitude takes place from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th July 2009 at Henham Park Estate, Beccles, in Suffolk with the festival opening it's gates on Thursday 16th July for some limited non-musical entertainment. Latitude festival goers can expect music, art, comedy, film, literature, theatre, performance art, dance, sculpture, workshops, restaurants and waiter service bars.

Weekend tickets are on sale and are priced at £150, day tickets are priced at £60, and a campervan Pass is priced at £10. Children aged 12 or under will be eligible for free tickets for Latitude Festival 2009 when accompanied by a ticket holding adult.
