Red List Live announces UK Subs, The Dead Pets, Conflict, and more

The new Red List Live festival has announced that Concrete Jungle are to host a punk stage at this year's festival.

Joining the previously announced The Damned, The Alarm, The Wedding Present, and The Undertones, at the event which hopes to raise raise money for endangered animals will be UK Subs with Charlie Harper 'The Godfather of Punk', Conflict, Strawberry Blondes, One Way System, The Duel, Funeral Dress, The Exposed, Deadline, and author and performer Nick Toczek.

Also performing on the Concrete Jungle Stage will be The Gonads, Drongos for Europe, Peter and the Test Tube Babies, Debutant Disco, Blank Generation, Argy Bargy, The Dead Pets, Middle Finger Salute, The Crack, Urban Scum, Dun 2 Def, and Spizzenergi.

Symond Lawes founder of Concrete Jungle said, "Punks unite for endangered animals! Concrete Jungle Festivals are very proud to be involved with Red List LIVE. Punk Rock has always been a very ethical movement as a worldwide music and artistic culture. The breeding and reintroduction of endangered animals is an issue very close to our hearts and The Aspinall Foundation an extremely worthy cause."

They join the acts previously confirmed including The Wombats, British Sea Power, LightsGoBlue, Klaus Says Buy The Record, Archie Bronson Outfit, White Rose Movement, and The Wedding Present with many more still to be announced.

The festival promises a line-up of many more live music acts and DJ's and will offer around 200 acts in total, along with a host of other activities, including the animal park which will be open to all festival goers.

Early bird tickets are on sale until the end of this month, priced at £99 (for 13 years and older) A child tickets (4-12 years) is priced at £20, and tickets for under 4's are free (Please note ticket still required). Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

The festival is not associated with last year's ZooThousand festival, it just happens to be utilising the same site.

£5 from every weekend ticket sold, and 50 per cent of the profits from the festival will go to the charity. A fund-raising target of £100,000 has been set for 2009, with the festival hoping to help donate £1,000,000 for some of the world's most at risk animals in five years. Red List LIVE will also help raise awareness of the endeavours of the IUCN's Red List of Threatened Species which is widely recognised as the most comprehensive, objective global approach for evaluating the conservation status of plant and animal species.
