The Kooks are confirmed for the 2009 Eden Sessions, held at the Eden Project in Cornwall.

The Kooks
The Kooks will be headlining the Eden Project stage on Saturday 18th July. The Brighton four-piece hit the top of the UK album charts with 2008's 'Konk', featuring the single 'Always Where I Need to Be'. Konk followed the band's 2006 debut 'Inside In/Inside Out' which reached number two in the charts. Seven of the 14 tracks from 'Inside Out/Inside In' made it into the UK top 40, included top ten entries 'Naïve', and 'She Moves Her Own Way'.

Peter Hampel, Eden's Creative Director, said, "The Kooks have already established a great reputation for really strong song-writing and for delivering high energy and uplifting live sets. On the back of a hotly tipped new album, they will be a real highlight of this year’s Sessions."

The Kooks are the third big-name act for the Eden Project, joining the already confirmed Kasabian headlining on Saturday 4th July, and Oasis playing on Tuesday 14th July.

Oasis tickets have already sold out. Tickets for Kasabian are on sale from 6pm, tomorrow (Tuesday 24th February), and The Kooks tickets go on sale on Monday 2nd March. eFestivals will have links for you to get them then.

The Eden Sessions now in their eighth year, consist of six evenings of popular music in the beautiful surroundings of the Eden Project in Cornwall. A Sessions ticket entitles the ticket holder to visit the Eden Project either on the day of the concert or the day after. All proceeds from the events will go to the Eden Trust.
