Larmer Tree Festival have announced the latest additions to their line-up including the Friday headliner for the five day event which runs from Wednesday 16th to Sunday 20th July.

Friday's headliner is one of Africa's favourite bands, the infectious fusion band Orchestra Baobab. After seeing them perform last year, Larmer Tree co-director James Shepard thought that they would be the perfect band to help celebrate the festival's 18th birthday at Larmer Tree Gardens, nr. Tollard Royal, on the Wiltshire/Dorset border.

Romanian gypsy band Taraf de Haidouks are also confirmed for the festival, playing on Saturday afternoon. The latest additions also include Soukous champion Kanda Bongo Man, the Aussie singer-songwriter Jeff Lang, amusing 'chap rock' exponents The Don Bradmans, The Royal Rarhi Chhou Dancers from Bengal, plus local acts Mary Spender and the Glowglobes. The festival has a lovely chilled atmosphere, and is child-friendly, all set on a gorgeous site in lovely Victorian pleasure gardens with a free campsite next door, with free showers and well serviced toilets. There's numerous workshops for adults and children, therapy sessions and street theatre are also on offer.

Tickets are on sale, priced at £172 for 5 days; £139 for 4 days; £110 for 3 days; and days priced at £33 for the Wednesday, £29 for the Thursday, £35 for the Friday, and £48 for the Sunday.
