Shelter, a charity set up to help homeless people in Britain, have announced on their website that Joss Stone will be the main act on the Leftfield stage for Friday's 'Shelter day' at Glastonbury festival.

The singer is scheduled to play at 8pm on Friday 22nd June, following a Leftfield protest. Shelter will be handing out 5,000 red brick cards to the crowd and asking them to hold the cards above their heads to signal the extent of Britain's housing crisis, and the millions of people (including 1.6 million children) who are homeless or without a decent place to live.

Shelter also announced that Jim Bob (Carter USM) and The Poise Rite will both be playing on the Leftfield stage on the Friday at Glastonbury.

The line-up for Glastonbury Festival was announced last Friday. To find all the details of who is playing, click here.

Glastonbury Festival will take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th June (with the gates opening at 8am on the Wednesday).
