tickets on sale for Ambient Picnic

Tickets have gone on sale for the Ambient Picnic, which takes place at Shalford Park, Guildford, Surrey on Sunday 31st July.

Up until now the Ambient Picnic has been nominally a 'free' event, with donations asked from those attending. But the event has now become so successful that the council are insisting on tickets as a way of limiting the numbers of people attending - they felt that more were attending than the event was licenced for. It's also been the case that donations have averaged just £1.50 per person, which isn't enough to fund the event.

And so entry this year is by advance ticket only. Note that everyone needs a ticket - even children (other than those in pushchairs or prams). Tickets can be purchased for £5 by telephoning the Electric Theatre Box Office on 01483 444789, which is excellent value - you can't even get a cinema ticket for a fiver. There are no passouts and no re-entry.

There is NO on-site parking except for disabled visitors, but there will be a Park and Ride in operation. No Glass.
