According to today's Sun, Robbie Williams is to headline a massive four day festival at Knebworth Park, Hertfordshire starting at the end of July. The report says that the concerts will be officially announced on 18th November - the day that Robbie's new album is released.

According to the licencing council for Knebworth, a public entertainments licence application has been received, to hold 4 concerts over 5 days from 31st July. The licence application does not include for any camping facilities, and expects an attendance of 125,000 each concert day. The entertainment is expected to start around lunchtime.

The person who answered the phone at Knebworth House when we contacted them told us that nothing had been contracted or signed as yet - but we may not have been talking to the right person.

The Sun report also states that "some of the best acts in Britain" will feature on the bill, but it's unusual for a show based around one act to have support that could show up the main event - the embarressment factor for the main act could be career destroying!
