As you walk onto the acoustic field there is only one bar on the left - the Red flag bar - It's just a very long bar.

Further up the hill you have the acoustic tent in all it's glory,

and opposite the bar there's a fantastic 24hr cafe serving some great food.

The Café is run by some religious sect. Nice bunch of people, they don’t try and convert you or preach to you at all. They don’t sell anything alcoholic though. They have a small cosy open manqué where you’re invited to debate about God. Thing is, it’s to near the bar so you do get some heated discussions, not nessaerly sensible ones.

We need more real ale bars by the sound of it!! Why not start the first ever Glastonbury festival real ale festival!!! You reckon the local CAMRA group would be up for it? <_<

Mr Bizarre, cheers for confirming that the Real Ale Bar is run independnekly of the WBC. It might be semi autnomous rather than fully independent, but I had some contact with the Manager last year and the separateness thing was what I vaguely remembeed ...

For Real Ale, as well, don't forget the Bimble Inn, people! There won't be so many beer outlets at that end of the site (they/ll be near The Park this year) and the Bimble is quality -- and a little cheaper ...

I wish I'd known this last year. When I was freezing cold and wet at 2am on the Sunday night/Monday morning and the bars by the Pyramid stage were all closing, I could've wandered off and found somewhere warm and dry to loiter.
