It’s very small, but there are a few on here

I get the impression that a lot of them only come here to post pro-Israeli stuff. I have not noticed the prominent Israeli Government defenders posting about other things on the site.

The real problem is that Bob Vylan appear to have caused the BBC to get all soft. They're not live-streaming TRNSMT (I think they originally said they were), and now sets are appearing on iPlayer with annoying cuts, eg Confidence Man's set is missing "Gossip", presumably because of the C word.

Such censorship was going to happen anyway under this ridiculous authoritarian government.

Yeh, it's not nice to see whatever the situation. Not what Glastonbury is about for me.

“Not what Glastonbury is about” Thunderstruck

“If people don’t like our politics, they can go somewhere else”

Michael Eavis

I think ME probably has more idea what Glastonbury is about.

That's a fail really isn't it given you've  cited what ME said pre-BV chant and not what EE said post-BV chant

Someone else kidding themselves. I think you have no idea about Michael Eavis

Really quite scurrilous to use Michael's words to imply he's supportive of death chants at glastonbury

Maybe ME has the sense and intelligence to know it was the “death” of an organisation not individuals

This conjecture was holed below the waterline after BV's words at Alexandra Palace came out Skip - keep up.

Btw if we're weaponizing ME's words - if you don't like Emily's response,  read Michael's words again

Am I the only one who entirely supports what he said (except for cowardly trying to roll it back with the "I meant the organisation" nonsense but nevertheless doesn't think it fits with the Glastonbury ethos/political stance?

It's a lefty hippy peace festival, not a radical, change at any cost lefty festival.

I identify more towards the second group (though am also a coward so won't actually be doing any violence) but I've never seen anything in two decades of Glastonburys that suggests the festival is in anything but the first group.

You could say that but I would also doubt they are the first people to call for something a bit more feisty than "hey man, why can't we just all get along?" from a stage at Glastonbury. Broad church and all that. Obviously this is the most high profile. I remember there were some people who didn't like Zelensky addressing the crowd a couple of years ago as they saw it as supporting a side in a war. Which is a pretty privileged stance and easy enough when your country isn't being attacked by a much bigger and more powerful country.

Looks like an interesting insight into the campaign against the Bobs playing Boardmasters.

"It has since received almost 300 complaints in a "concerted campaign", says councillor Dulcie Tudor, with many understood to have come from outside the county."

With the news that A&S constabulary have closed their investigation on Kneecap it's been quiet on the position of any consequences for Bob Vylan since the initial few days of hullabaloo.
