No way he could play the comedy stages as it would be too busy so Pyramid could work. 

 

It was rumoured by the same person repeatedly for years. None of the rumours ever proved to be correct so we removed this year's post. 🙂

It was the ‘it’s never been done before’ and is ‘not music’ which led me to think back to this.

Can you imagine the scenes on the Pyramid field if the headliner was a comedian? Chairs and picnic baskets would be flying through the air to hit the target! 😂

Here’s my theory… can the Friday TBA slot be both a speaker and an artist?! That would explain the gap. You could have a 10 minute speaker, followed by a 35 minute Lewis Capaldi set.

 

If the guest is a high-security person, then it makes sense that they didn’t put down a “guest speaker” slot on the line up.  In the same way that there was no TBA listed for Fred Again at Strummerville last year.
