Diogo Marques (Last Tour Portugal): "[The announcement] will be in the next few days, with the dates and poster. It will be at the same location, but we will likely change the dates. We will only have that decision next week. We already have the poster, we already have everything."

How can they only decide the dates next week but already have the full poster? Wouldnt the lineup be diferent if they change dates?

Diogo lies a lot to the press, I've noticed that, when he was director of the Vilar de Mouro festival I saw him lie, which he has now abandoned! Not to mention past problems with another festival that was even on Portuguese TV!

Calm down... I believe the festival will be in June and they want to announce the full lineup.

Not saying you are wrong but it is  not a good idea to wait til end of January to announce for June…people are now making other plans.

You’re right, but the festival is happening, so I guess the line-up’s strenght is going to be the key. It’s not much time to promote a festival with a meh line-up.

Director of Kalorama, he was director of another festival here in Portugal (Vilar de Mouros Festival), in 2023 the headliners ( Limp Bizkit , The Prodigy ...) were announced in June and the festival takes place in August.
Your way of thinking is in line with mine, but being the director that you are, I believe in everything!

I can see this becoming a Primavera Sound twin

So the weekend after Primavera Porto.

Trouble with that is Primavera will have radius clauses in their contracts, so these bands are touring in the region yet won't be able to play Kalorama.

I guess that if they are doing this change, they know they can grab some big names from Barcelona that are not attending Porto or Paredes de Coura, like Sabrina or Chappell.

After the Kalorama Madrid disaster (changing the location and announcing the festival too late and then the storm) and low sales in Portugal, I imagine the festival will be in big financial troubles if this year edition fails to sell many tickets.

Agree on the second point but there is no way in hell they can afford Sabrina Carpenter and some of the acts that said yes to Barcelona but no to Porto would have done this as their tour didn't line up with going to Portugal. Roan looks highly doubtful too based on her dates.

Lets wait. Unless they have an ace in the sleeve, this change would not make much sense.
