Yes, you're right, but by the time I thought about the possible headliners I thought that Jamie would have a shorter impact and success. And after Oliver Sim album in 2022, Romy's in 2023 and Jamie in 2024 (and a hinted collaboration altogether in the album), I thought there would be a new XX album in maybe late 2025, but it could be anticipatedly presented in Primavera in a similar way to Charli's Brat. They also have a good relationship with the festival, and it was also rumoured the XX comeback to Glasto, so it could be one of the surprises in the line-up, but I reckon that this idea is losing strength with each passing day. We'll see what they have in store for us.
There was an update with the headline 'Money, It's A Gas' - some folk who obviously don't read Dave Gilmour interviews thought it may be Floyd, but Roger Waters was the only name that really made sense.
Some others thought 'It's a gas' meant the Stones but that's more of a stretch.
I was hoping for some more modern support acts rather than just a big nostalgia festival. Crikey, Cast were boring back in 1995, the epitome of dull blokey indie. Thats me talking as a huge Britpop head at that time too. Ashcroft? Uninspiring. I suppose I should expect it to be something like Rewind Festival but well, I can stay in the pub.
