It was Blackpink (not sold out) and LDR (very sold out) at 50k.

The "All things Orchestral" gig they did was 5k capacity and so didn't register as an event day.

Thanks very much. Thought it would have been the case those two were smaller ones.

Wonder how many double-shows they'll have this year.

It would be unusual to see somebody book both Wembley and BST HP tbf. Maybe Taylor Swift or Harry Styles, but equally they seem to just do Wembley residencies.

I think Bruce Springsteen did Hard Rock Calling and Wembley in the same year once, but yeah. Highly unusual.

Just speculated this on another thread, but Rod Stewart on one of the smaller days?

So he did all the way back in 2013. Think that was the surprise return to HRC a year after he had the plug pulled on him by the local council midway through playing with Paul McCartney, to widespread derision. Would've thought that was a dealbreaker to play Hyde Park again.

EDIT: Turns out the 2013 version was actually in a park by the London Olympic Stadium. So... ignore that. Also, to my earlier question, turns out Hard Rock Calling is not still a thing.

The Springsteen / HRC booking in 2013 was a very late announcement, well after the rest of the tour (and after the Wembley date had already sold out), with the assumption being that they'd struggled to find a headliner.

The Killers are about to announce UK shows for 2024...

Tool are teasing an announcement for UK shows too, a metal day must be on the cards by now

Girls Aloud reunion talk too..

All of those could be possibilities. I think there is a Metal day missing from BST, perhaps AC/DC?

However, BST seem to get random acts that nobody would predict i.e Billy Joel, Carole King, Barbara Streisand. No point in trying to guess

also I see KOL more at Finsbury Park?

Initially the plan for 2020 was for them to do Finsbury with Courteeners, Cage the Elephant, Inhaler, Soccer Mommy and Big Moon, which is a bill I might well have ventured along for. But they had to pull that because 2020 and eventually ended up doing 2 nights at the O2 in 2022.

Doing Silverstone on July 4th means that they could be around on Sat 6th for either HP or FP, given both will be hosting concerts that weekend.

Omg I never knew that they were meant to be at FP! 😭. Was seeing The 1975 back then at FP so god knows how I missed the info about Kol.

hopefully next year.

    • So, what would the weather have been like at this year's festival?   It's been shambolic around here, the rain is soul destroying and showing no sign of letting up, bar odd sporadic days here and there. Disgraceful for June.   What's it like down there? Have we had a lucky escape?...
