Paramore are way too big for Slam Dunk. Slam Dunk have only just moved to booking Wembley Arena acts and similar from Ally Pally.

Paramore playing Slam Dunk would be like Foals playing my local.

Even if we go down the logic path of Slam Dunk really spend some money to pull in a massive name to again justify a bigger capacity,  the eras tour is in portugal on the saturday of the bank holiday weekend and I think slam dunk will want to stick with using saturday and sunday as their days.

Who knows maybe they pull paramore in for one of those ym@6/nofx/adtr single day events?

All this talk about the single day event before the festival has me wondering, would The Gaslight Anthem play that rather than the main festival? Have played Ally Pally in the last so certainly big enough, or used to be atleast.

I'm not sure - I pop to Slamdunk every year (since 05) regardless of who plays (it's just down the road from me) and personally, hoping for Rancid headlining. 

I didn't think Paramore were that big nowadays, but admittedly, I haven't followed them much in recent years as I lost track of who was even left in the band haha.

Paramore just aren’t the Slam Dunk vibe anymore. Don’t think Hayley sees herself and the band in that scene anymore. R&L or Glastonbury will be the place for them if they play anywhere I’d imagine.

Paramore instantly sold out their arena tour including 2 nights at the O2. They're bigger than they have ever been. There is literature no chance of them playing.

They are the biggest they've ever been at the stage of their worst material. Obviously covid and them virtually not being a band to now being a band helped.

Limp Bizkit yes please! Would be epic. Download may pick them up though possibly? Maybe too big for SD due to their own shows although I don’t know the capacity for those or how busy they were.

Gunnersbury Park was 40,000 but I don't think it sold out and it felt less busy during them than Pendulum, definitely more likely to be picked up by Download but wishful thinking!

I'm pretty sure Limp Bizkit will end up subbing Download next year. Paramore are too big for SD. Gaslight doing the "lone-show" probably won't happen as that's not really the vibe for that kind of show. I think Sum 41 will do their farewell shows there, similar to NOFX this year. 

I think we're in for a duo of You Me At Six and Rancid, both exclusive.

I think I'm out for next year. We've booked to go to Cornwall and I'm pretty sure it's clashing with Slam Dunk.

While that duo would suit, we need something a bit stronger than YM@6 now at the top I feel. If they could get Sum 41 which I still feel is more likely to be a NOFX kinda thing headline with Rancid/YM@6 co-headlining?

I'm going to hunch on:

Sum 41 own day, though i think this didn't help with traffic with organisers needing everything in place a day earlier, Rancid and Avril topping the main stages. YM@6 doing the Neck Deep slot from 2022 which is still headlining a stage.

Neither Rancid, nor YM@6 are an arena band and that's kind the step they are moving upto now for a headliner. 30k sites now and very much on that border of a small arena tour band.

Rancid are one of those bands that don’t tour very often though, could definitely headline a stage. Similar size to Alexisonfire in my opinion. When was the last time Rancid even played a UK fest?

The reason why I don't think they will tour Europe two years in a row. But if they pay them enough for exclusive show, why not

Avril or ADTR would be pretty good headliners! Can’t see ADTR doing Download or Reading next year so could do Slam Dunk?

I hope you're both right but an Avril/Rancid clash would be sheeet!

Although Rancid are rare, if this festical grows even bigger that Rancid won't be out of place being a sub on the Dickies stage. I don't see the festival being quite there though as I get the feeling BFS were put as a sub due to them having actually got a band off of a proper arena. I believe Enter Shikari are kind of in those sticks in the middle of one or two off larger venues and a series of larger acdemies?

Idk they've done a UK fest in 23 (DL) and 22 (2k Trees), and a tour in 22, so maybe they'll not come over next year? Probably start writing a new record soon.

You Me at Six sound like they are headlining in some form. Josh pretty much hinted / gave it away at an event at Key Club a few weeks ago. Agree it is a massively underwhelming choice from Slamdunk. Hopefully Rancid finally knock it out the park. Personally, I'm desperate for Jawbreaker to show up one year.
