The dawn of a new week. The morning skies are dark, the evening skies are darker. It's pretty miserable all round. If only someone could shed a bit of light on these dark times. Got any spare time @Sziget2023_Leaks?

Still too far away. I doubt this‘ll be a month long tour. My money is on Werchter, NOS and Mad Cool. Not much more.

Blur played Sziget 2013, it would be 10 years since then, it would be a great time to have them back.

they also said last years lineup was going to be the biggest/best ever and that was a lie soooo my hopes have not been raised

I believe they know they need to up their game next year. I think there will be a noticeable improvement in the line-up quality and the decoration on site. They clearly tried to cut corners this year and it failed them imho.

Usually those festivals are all different entities under a bigger company. You can move the money around a bit but normally you keep the money in the same entity. 
 

so not a bigger budget. Although if VOLT took place they had to move money around to cover the losses in the last edition.

Nope, they are just trying to save every penny they can. The cancellation of Volt festival won't have any impact on Sziget's budget which will be slightly bigger but just to cover the higher costs caused by the inflation.

I lost the hype for Sam Fender and I already saw Little Simz this year, she's amazing but I won't be in the front row waiting
