I didn't go in 2019 but I've never known anyone to have issues taking booze in.

I can't believe you had cans taken off you!

Edit: not as in I don't believe what you've said, it just seems overkill.

Indeed . You going ?

the belief in licencing circles is that punters with cans = underage drinking.

I look youthful but not quite that youthful 😂I’ll try again .. wasn’t a great concern … but would love to know why They don’t decide on a maximum number .

not necessarily the punter holding the cans, licencing think the cans filter thru to the underage.

We were also accosted by the security on the way in in 2019.  Had a gallon of cider and they wanted to confiscate it.  No chance, never had that before.  I can understand them checking on young kids etc but we were a group of 50 somethings.

Don’t wanna hide alcohol but will do if they try that again.

So what counts as excessive ? I know last time the limit seemed to be 4 cans as I had a couple taken off me . I’d much rather not have to hide cans on me

That's surprising I've never had a problem although I don't recall being challenged in many years of attending PP. I'm either lucky or so inconspicuous as to be invisible (hmm, that could explain a thing or two!)

Perhaps overly zealous (or thirsty) security at play.

On the licencing front I'd expect far fewer kids this year given the lineup.

They tried to restrict alcohol the year Seasick Steve, Reverend and The Makers and Massive Attack played, ended up with loads of people sat outside the fence necking everything they had, eventually word came from the boss man to give up and let everyone in... it was pretty funny at the time as I think a lot of people were rat assed when they eventually got in, I know I was.
