Wanna go to glasto

What’s it like? Impossible to fully describe to someone who hasn’t been. TV doesn’t begin to do it justice. It’s the best place on earth, there’s something new and exciting to see around every corner. Every year you go, you’ll see and enjoy something different. Everyone there (almost) is lovely. You’ll meet loads of interesting people, eat great food, see great music, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

As said above, yes, it’s great to share such experiences with a close friend or friends, but don’t be put off going solo. I’ve been solo twice, and had a fantastic time.

Its not ALL sunshine and roses. It is very much a physical ordeal at times, particularly in poor weather. You’ll be getting way less sleep than normal for the duration, which will involve sleeping on the ground for 5 or 6 days. The journey there and back is often fraught with difficulty, and you’ll be carrying lots of gear. There will be crowds, and queues, and toilet facilities are basic. Getting so tired heightens ones emotions, and you’ll feel tearful one minute, but joyful the next. There will be moments, whilst there, that you question whether you should have come. However by the Sunday evening, and especially the week following, you’ll be desperate to return, and suffer the most crushing post festival downer.

if you are unable to secure a ticket, consider volunteering. It’s even more tiring, but extremely rewarding.

Whatever you decide to do, get there. You won’t regret it. Biggest regret of my life was waiting until I was over 50 to go. So many wasted years.

Good luck, I really hope to see you on the farm.

I mean see the amount of complaining on this forum after the fest? Does this look to you like people actually enjoyed themselves?

Qui aime bien chatie bien as they say in France. Oh yeah there ARE French people at Glastonbury. Who'd want to share a toilet with them?

I've never been to Glastonbury I wanted to know some information about it before I decide to go. First what's it like. Second should I go by myself

My ex and I broke up 2 days before my first glastonbury so I was alone that fest and I still camp with someone I met at that first fest 7 years later

Same! Me and my husband said after our first Glastonbury in 2019 - we should have so done this in our 20,s 🤦‍♀️🤣

It’s so hard what to say what makes Glastonbury, it’s different for each of us, but it is a very special place and once you’ve been and experienced all the hidden, magical things as well as the bonus of all that live music, you’ll want to go every year 💃🎶🎸🥳

Depends.

Sit on the couch and tell us a little about yourself.
