Chip Batch
I go to End of the Road anyway. Might add Green Man. Edited June 30, 2022 by Chip Batch
K2SO
Go to Cornwall for a few days with some friends. We can watch some of the sets in a pub/wherever we're staying and still have a good time together

Sziget is my go to for years I miss Glasto depending on the line up. I’m also considering the summer solstice festival in Iceland as well. A few days of partying where the sun doesn’t go down. efcfanwirral
I always go for a second festival anyway, but if I miss out on Glastonbury I'll just be chasing whatever lineup I like the most as my main one. Mad Cool was the one for this year if I'd missed out in the resale Edited June 30, 2022 by efcfanwirral
LoraMaze
Well my husband and I are really hoping to go to Vegas for the F1 GP, AND get re-married by Elvis while we’re out there etc. We’re likely to only go their once in our life time, so may as well be next year…can’t do that and Glastonbury realistically, so we won’t be trying for tickets. Troop Dogg
I was already planning a weekend trip to climb Snowdon right up until I got lucky on resale day!
FuzzyDunlop
Last time I missed out was 2013. Ended up going to Awakenings in Amsterdam. I still dont think Im going in 2023
SighMo
Green Man and EOTR. Do those two either way.
geoffboycott
EOTR and also would like to try Green Man one day.
Isaact
Shambala is a great festival, just wish it was at a better time of year. It is too late in the summer.
joeltg
I do Boomtown too....but hearing lots of good things about Shambala, I may try that one next year.
Quark
Dunno yet, I'll figure it out come October! I've got a big one coming next year with the rugby world cup in France, so I might just end up saving the cash. Alternative would be Beautiful Days again (this year will be #3) or maybe something earlier in the year like Bearded Theory. EDIT: having thought about it, might well end up taking a long weekend to go walking / camping somewhere different. Was almost an option instead of BDs this year, so can see that idea getting resurrected. Edited July 1, 2022 by Quark
Zoo Music Girl
I'll look at the lineups but I've loved Green Man and Blue Dot in the past. Have always fancied EOTR. I did Primavera this year when we didn't get Glasto tickets but I really didn't rate it despite the music being great. Worked out very expensive too. JakeBillo
Fusion Festival Germany. So not a bad alternative - the best electronic music festival there is basically.
moogster
Rock Werchter or Down the Rabbit hole. Nothing compares to Glastonbury but Werchter's line up tends to be good and I like the atmostphere at DTRH. I am quite interested in End of the road, but then would make it a longer holiday as traveling to the UK is a bit more than a couple of hours drive over here. rubenz
A nice beach somewhere I think. If I went to another festival I'd only annoy people by spending all day moaning about how it's not as good as Glastonbury!
gfa
I'd like to do Boomtown for the UK, last major one for me to tick off really. Otherwise head abroad.

These would be my 2 alternatives without going as far as Europe. Sziget could be a good option. Budapest is a great city and the lineup can be decent. We went in 2013. You also have the likes of Mad Cool, which tends to get decent lineups, Primavera and Pukkelpop.
