The Red Telephone
I dunno, with 60% of the band in bad health and Mick charging £££ just for a selfie, this smells of “not gonna happen” to me

The Nal
Fleetwood Mac fucked it up basically. Asked mutiple times to play and their greed kicked them up the ass in the end. "I think I’ll burn in hell if we don’t do it one day.” Indeed Mick, indeed.
NorthernSoul52
Just can't see Fleetwood Mac getting all their chips in order to do it.

Matt42
Fm can do like 6 european dates and a few in Europe and call it a world tour. Just like Macca did this year. Doing as few dates as possible and calling it a world tour is in vogue these days.
clarkete
5 pages for a band who can't play the festival and famously won't play for the money offered?

CaledonianGonzo
Famously haven't up till now. Just like the Stones famously wouldn't - until they did.

danbailey80
So just to be clear. This sort of attention seeking trolling shite is fine here?
Smeble
No Lindsey Buckingham no fleetwood Mac as far as I’m concerned. Saw them in 2015 at IOW and they were epic, a proportion of the songs lose their bite without Buckingham either dishing them out or being on the receiving end.
iwalker
I think the Stones did it to get themselves into the shop window for a younger audience. In fact Jagger even said if you enjoyed yourself then come and see them again. They might have made a loss on the night but they are no mugs and it has probably paid for itself several time over since. Reading his book Springsteen and the E Street Band were seeing more empty seats at their concerts then they would like - more so in the US - so did several festivals to get some new fans in (although jetting over to play with Macca suggests he enjoyed it). Not sure Fleetwood Mac need that, especially if they aren't planning to tour much more.
NorthernSoul52
This rumour appears to be dead in the water now then? Assumed it was a stretch to begin with, but regardless.

CaledonianGonzo
Yeah - I dont think they're likely - just that their own stage isnt a hard and fast requirement.
balti-pie
Itd be fascinating to see where glastonbury would bung the new stage! get rid of pennards and put it at the bottom of that field? That could be quite good!
The Nal
Angus said he'd play Glasto if AC/DC were asked to. Might have been a throwaway comment though. But seems theyre one of those bands who dont really know what the festival is about.
