Nubiyan Twist; Arooj Aftab; Crowded House; Wolf Alice; Plant & Krauss; Sam Fender; Jesus & Mary Chain; Reef

Skunk Anansie; Grainne Duffy; Beabadoobee; Haim; Noel; Macca

Ferris & Sylvester; Herbie Hancock; Diana Ross; Kacey Musgraves; The Regrettes; Pet Shop Boys

19 acts over the weekend. Only a couple of those rated as merely good rather than great (eg. Noel) but overall the quality was stunning. I made no special effort other than choosing to see stuff I wanted to see, but this ended up yielding a pretty even gender split, which is exactly what the last few years of effort have been about.

How were Nubiyan Twist? They were originally my Fri am plan but we ended up camped up over in Lime Kiln so there was no way I was getting over to WH for the first act!

Thursday

Rob Da Bank's Purple Rave (got there early so caught end of Lekkido, WTF was all that about! kept seeing lobsters all weekend after, never knew it was such a big thing. everyone in there having the time of there lives though, such a Glasto moment)

Friday

Libertines, Wet Leg, Craig Charles, Supergrass, Idles, Sam Fender, Primal Scream, Carl Cox B2B Chase n Status, iicon until end

Saturday

Joy Crookes, Easy Life, Sofia Kourtesis (incredible! booked to see her in London in October on the back of her performance), Noel, Macca, Jon Hopkins, Fatboy Slim

Sunday

Chair w*nker for Herbie Hancock, Diana Ross & Elbow. Little Dragon, Bicep, then about 4 hours in Mez Bar opposite the temple listening to disco and other funky shit. Was meant to be going to Rudimental in the temple but got distracted and ended up staying there, was a perfect end to the festival.

Probably the best year I've had on the farm, mostly stuck to my clashfinder, think the only one I didn't make was Nightmares on Wax Sunday morning, just couldn't be arsed to walk all the way over to West Holts. From what I've read on here I made the right choice.

Arlo Parks

How was Arlo?  She was one of the major casualties of my Friday clash nightmare, finished Supergrass on Other and the logistics of getting up to see her and then back down again just wasn't gonna work.

Really enjoyed! Had a really considered set design and handed out sunflowers for the crowd to have, which was a nice touch. Saw someone in the SE Corner holding onto theirs for dear life at about 2am.

A decently-sized crowd and very into the music.

She then followed us to the John Peel popped up an hour later to join Phoebe Bridgers on stage!

I saw them. They were the archetypal WH band in my eyes, a bit of jazz, a bit of reggae, a bit of world. I had never heard them before so all new to me, but I certainly enjoyed them. Good vibes in the field too.

Neither of these are the answers I was looking for. You're meant to tell me that stuff I missed out on was shit FFS!

Apologies, she was absolutely crap and spat on the people at the barriers. Really unpleasant, I got out of there sharpish.

Better. She always looked like a wrong'un.

I think that might honestly be my only pang of regret for what I saw vs what I missed. I've seen Dub Pistols loads of times, but it's always great fun and they didn't disappoint at all. But this year they were definitely a case of convenience rather than a must see. I'd been pinging all over the site, and the prospect of Other >> Park >> Pyramid to be able to catch Arlo and then Sam Fender was just too much!

THU Mixmaster Morris, Beatles Dub Club, Pigs x7, Nova Twins, Roger Sanchez, Sama' Abdulhadi

FRI English Teacher, Ziggy Marley, Greentea Peng, Crowded House, Supergrass, Dub Pistols, Sam Fender, Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott, K.O.G.

SAT Skunk Anansie, Carl Cox & Eric Powell, Celeste, Billy Nomates, Paul McCartney, Cut Capers

SUN Sea Girls, Lianne La Havas, Nightmares on Wax, Diana Ross, Newdad, Gabriels, Pet Shop Boys, Rudimental

Outside the 4 song rule: Mik Artistik, Primal Scream, John Digweed, Noel Gallagher

I was knackered by Friday night!

How was Billy Nomates? Really wanted to see her but ended up unfortunately seeing the end of Noel Gallagher to try and get a good spot for Macca and find our friends. You really forget the logistics that you have to do when you are poring over clashfinder at home 😄

I too was knackered by Friday night. Had to factor in some more relaxed sitting down acts on Saturday and Sunday to make it to the end 😄

Really good, I left after 30 mins to meet my group for Macca, but would have loved to stay for the whole thing. Just her and a laptop, but owned the stage. Really strong voice live. Hippy Elite in particular sounded great.
