Some of the cringiest crowd work I've seen. I know she's probably not done as much live work as she's wanted but crikey. It also highlights a big issue with the streaming era pop she sort of belongs too. It's meant to background music, Glasto are going to have to put more effort into working out who'll be good live. Sam Fender was way better than this. Sam Fender isnt anywhere near as big as Billie. He isnt int he same stratosphere...thats your problem there. She isnt miming either. She's doing absolutely fine.
lemons
Falling a bit flat? Was phenomenal few weeks ago but something off. Backing track doing too much work? Oxytocin should go off. She'll still get to show her the vocals towards end of set
NoBuses
Billies good but would've been better after a third album imo, maybe a few years too early for her. Foals fantastic so far

Other half told me to turn it down, he can fuck right off 🤣 I've stuck the headphones on so it's a bit louder through them, even though I hate wearing them. They sound great - shame my TV i-player isn't working - the walls of my flat would be shaking now if it was! 😄
benali
Eilish is a bit dull. Simz on the other hand has it all.

Rose-Colored Boy
Think she’s doing fine so far. That’ll change if she keeps cutting songs short though.

Glasto in the 90s and 00s often booked big UK acts who were better live over bigger American pop acts. Oh sorry not miming just sticking her mic in the air while her vocals play. I could honestly fall asleep to this.

panda97
Was deciding between Billie and Little Simz, glad I chose Simz as she is absolutely smashing it, will still probably give Billie a listen later though

BobWillis2
You cannot tell me Foals shouldn’t be headlining the pyramid stage tonight with this back catalogue, they’ve barely got started and it’s been massive.

Sam Fender was way better than this. You realize Billie was touring 3 years straight before covid hit and had a whole u.s arena and europe tour ready to go that was sold out? She grinded it out. She didnt have it as easy as Olivia did with barely getting one tour and then boom, big stages. She had done plenty of festivals but man for every old fucking sod that cant just let the kid do what she is doing and is fucking scared shitless about the future of music. Also, maybe thank Doja Cat for ruining her throat or else there would be endless posts about miming and such for the last 3 hours

I listened to them solidly on Thursday while working (apart from when Spotify went off on its Foals radio tangent!), they've got so much material now, absolutely deserve the Pyramid! If I've reached the point of old sod by my mid-20s that's impressive and it's fair to be worried about the future of pop when it's in the hands of someone like Billie Eilish - I actually like a few of her songs (Bad Guy, Your Power) but this has been dreadful. Just because some dont like her doesnt change the fact that this is a solid performance and she more then warrants being where she is. I expect to have this same argument when Harry Styles inevitably headlines next year.

49Lawson
It hasn’t really been my cup of tea I’ll admit (but then it’s not meant to be, and power to her for looking like she’s having a great time) but that acoustic rendition of ‘Power’ after referencing the absolute disgusting actions of the Supreme Court today was moving

The crowd certainly don’t seem to think “this is dreadful” 😂 Also, there’s never going to be a Glastonbury again where all three Pyramid headliners are men (and rightly so) so we can nip this Foals discussion in the bud right away.
