Thought I might start a thread for people's quick questions about what they do and don't sell at Glastonbury. I've packed and headed off now but realised I've forgotten some key items, I'm sure others might be in the same boat.

🙂

Will I be able to buy:

  • Individual tent pegs
  • Grinders (for the morning coffee of course)
  • KOMBUCHA
  • Rope? NOT STRING
  • OTC medicine beyond painkillers (laxatives etc.)
  • Fresh fruit, mainly bananas I'm looking for.
  • Straws

Thank you in advance

That's an excellent and quirky list.

I only wished you'd started the thread earlier to have allowed it to ferment better before the festival.

There is a pharmacy on site that should have OTC stuff (never been in mind)

There are usually several camping stalls that will be able to sort you out with tent pegs and rope. Try the main market but if you walk around market areas you'll usually find one.

Over the counter medicine you will be able to get at the little pharmacy stall,  Ranking my brains for where it is. I think just up from Williams Green.  Probably coop as well.

Fruit - there are fruit stands dotted around. Failing that coop.

Not sure about kombucha, grinders or straws but I'm sure you'll find them somewhere.

Straws are likely not to be plastic.

I would highly recommend buying blister patches before you go. I'll never forget when a stall tried to charge me £8 for a pack of 3 some years ago.

Never is a mighty long time @discgoesmic, let it go 😉

Definitely camping stall for pegs and maybe rope.

Pharmacy or Co op for meds.

Fruit from Co op, but there are fruit stalls I believe too.

Doubt anyone will be selling straws but obviously some bars will have.

Can anyone remember if the prices for rolling tobacco are horrifically inflated or just quite inflated? It's payday Friday and I'd rather keep the money for food/drinks on Wednesday and Thursday rather than buying beforehand.

Get it before, You won't have any choice and its normally Amber Leaf and its pricey as fuck...........Just get rizzla and lights from the stores if you can.

In past years it has either been much higher than normal real world prices (2009 and preceding years), a bit lower than normal (2010-2017 when it was cheaper than I pay locally) and then about the same as normal (2019).  Expect anywhere from normal pricing to a little higher, I think.

That's a good question, I'd say no......and if so.. it'll be pricey.

Cheers. Only asking in case mine breaks or gets lost. Was thinking they may sell disposable ones as they’re everywhere these days, not really in keeping with the ethos of the festival though so you’re probably right
