Royal Mail have delivered tickets to wrong address / they have been stolen

Really at a loss here so any advice majorly appreciated!

Royal Mail claim to have delivered our 2x tickets, but the signature on the tracking is not ours and we have no idea what happened to the tickets. They were not delivered to us or neighbours.

Going to speak to See Tickets tomorrow but doubt they'll be very helpful. Going to also go to RM local office tomorrow but feel they will also be unhelpful.

We've got all the booking emails, bank statements, our photos were uploaded so shouldn't be an issue proving who we are if we did go down to Glasto, but would be gutted to make the 4 hour trip and not get in - major stress and not sure what to do!? 😞

Sorry this has happened.

You need to speak to RM and push them for evidence that the tickets were delivered to your address, their trackers should be able to pinpoint the location the tickets were signed to. Likewise check if the tickets were signed for with code XP1. This is a code posties were given during COVID to allow them to sign for recorded delivery with no contact, if it was used this means they've broken their contract to deliver as it went out of use on May 1. Your best bet is to push RM, insist on the case being escalated until you get proper answers.

See are useless as they will tell you Royal Mail have marked as successfully delivered so they hold no liability. If you can get RM to admit fault See should reissue (likely for box office collection) as they haven't provided what you've paid for. You can try pointing out to See that your contract is with them as the seller so it's their responsibility to resolve but frankly they're useless, still insist on the case being escalated upwards until you get answers. Look up details of the consumer rights act 2015 and quote it in your correspondence. There are some templates online. Other suggestions are copying in their CEO rob.wilmshurst@seetickets.com in correspondence, usually that sees complaints escalated to a specialist team.

Best of luck, it's a crapshoot in many ways but hopefully if you push back against both companies you'll get an answer. Make sure if anything happens over the phone you insist on a follow up email outlining what was said/agreed.

Don’t take Royal Mail’s word on the GPS proof. I had a special delivery item go missing. They said I signed for it and the GPS was my house. Long story short: item was delivered to a street with a vaguely similar name by a temp postie over the other side of town. No way the GPS would have been correct but they we happy to use that as an reason to get me to back down and off the phone.

Stressful or what!

Others have given good advice on pursuing SEE and especially RM. In your final paragraph however you alluded to turning up at the fest with proof purchase and id......Not sure this is a good idea as you're extremely unlikely to be allowed in. You do need to resolve through SEE and RM.

Thanks for the replies so far all.

We are going to hit it hard with RM, See and get a police crime reference.

If all else fails, do people think turning up (with all our confirmation emails, Id's and other proofs like bank statements printed off) is unlikely to work? I'd have thought we can go to the box office with all that and they'd take a view that we are legit ticket holders?

This is our first glasto and we were so looking forward to it, such a ridiculous situation 😞
