Kikagaku Moyo are turning into one of my absolute must-sees.

First thing on could be tricky depending on how Friday night goes though...

Popped into my head that they'd be great later on at The Crows Nest.

Really hope that happens now I've thought about it.

I want Steven Wilson to do it one year. He has done festivals before. Doubt it would ever happen though. Although they could ask Porquepine Tree as they got together with a new album and are touring it.

In the green futures field there is the bike powered Mandala stage which always has some old school psych rock music going on. They're more your kind of pub jamming bands but worth popping by.

Space Falcons are playing who collaborated with Nik Turner on his recent Interstellar Energy album so I'm guessing he'll be jamming with them given that he's around all weekend opening up the stage.

It might be worth your while going through the line up to see if any of the others like Pyramids of Snafu or Dubbal take your fancy.

Would love a bit of this, some of the highlights the last few years were Acid Mothers Temple at West Holts in 2019 (I think) and Ozric Tentacles in the Glade a few years back. Awesome stuff, struggling to find something similar on the line up this year other than what's already been mentioned

Nick Turner has been playing daily slots in the Green Futures field for the past few years.  I've never managed to see any of these, although I did go and see him fronting Hawkwind in 2019.  Search the schedule - he's on the Mandala Stage every day from around midday and this year it's in honour of Arabella Churchill and Andrew Kerr.

Thanks for that. Missed the hawkwind gig in 19. Saw them a few years ago in Glasgow and it rolled back the years for me.

Made it to the Thursday morning jam slot and a good spacey jam it was too...although without Nik. Someone announced he was sick, but wasn't clear whether it was just that day or whether it was more serious and he couldn't make the festival at all?

Ah right - this was yet another year when I didn't manage to make it, so don't know whether he was there at all.  Didn't see anything that would usually be labelled psychedelic rock this year, but I reckon Dakabrakha's new visual set, especially the bits with the Ukraine fighting, would have kept a 1970s Hawkwind crowd happy.

Was on my list but couldn't make it...thinking it's okay I'll watch it on iplayer when I get home. BBC have been staggeringly shit this year with putting bugger all sets up (and censoring them when they do).
