6 people with alerts set up saying nothing come through, no idea if they are outliers or its a bigger problem

No sms but got a twitter notification. That will do for me. Used to get SMSs though

There have been a few ways of getting SMS alerts over the years, and two of the main ones are no longer available.

For anyone missing them, see if you used any of these options:

• Native Twitter SMS alerts, these were disabled in April 2020
• Via IFTTT (If This Then That), these were disabled in March 2022

The best way now is to use Zapier, which is a IFTTT competitor:

Thought I'd set up text alerts through zapier but didn't get text, did get twitter notifications though

I believe I'm still setup since last Glastonbury, but the last one I got was June 2021.

Update : I've just set up Zapier, and a message came through about doing a jig. Is that it?

That sounds right, it was a tweet from the end of May. Not sure why Zapier would pick that one rather than the more recent test one, but it sounds like you're on the right track!

One thing to note is that services like Zapier will only check for new tweets every 15 minutes or so, so you won't get alerts instantly. The Twitter app push notifications will be quicker (assuming a good network connection) so it's worth having both. SMS for if the data connection is struggling, and push notifications for speed (if the connection is good).

I had IFTTT setup and didn't get anything through, wasn't aware it had been discontinued, just setup zapier, hopefully that'll work, if not, i'll just have to keep checking twitter

Just set up Zapier and got sent the Bart Simpson test tweet...
