Sadly no milk tractors going round the campsites this year. Be interesting to see where the new shops are - here’s hoping there’s one close to Wicket family camping as it’s a godsend to us!

Actually a little bit sad about that - it was one of those nice little traditions that made Glasto unique! Anyone know why they've changed it?

Damn, the sound of milky milky is a Glastonbury staple, just like long drop doors banging. Wonder why they are no longer doing it.

Is that the official reason ? Thought it might be part of some cost cutting measures

Probably not safe to be fair. I mean even one person getting a foot run over and there gonna look at it and think does this tractor need to be driving around

Putting in 3 shops to replace 1 tractor doesn't sound like cost cutting.

Nearly 20,000 people were killed by the milk tractors in 2019 so probably for the best.

I guess it would be near impossible to drive, but wonder if they could have replaced the tractor with an actual milk van if safety was such the main worry 😆

I only buy milk for White Russians at the stands so hoping that this doesn't lead to the milk selling out any faster during the day. I usually don't buy it until after lunch, to have it as fresh as poss. In 2017 on Sunday milk was sold out, we had to buy an overpriced pint of Milk from a coffee stand near the pyramid 😂, it was worth.

Whenever I've seen it doing the rounds in the campsites it's going maybe 3mph? Feels like the bit in Father Ted with the milk float and the boxes.
