Rina Sawayama

Hi everyone,

First time poster and long-time lurker! Having seen the line up released today, I've ended up very confused as I could have sworn Rina Sawayama was confirmed to be playing - however looking back on the poster and other information I can't find anything that suggests this is true! Having seen her at Big Weekend yesterday I was really looking forward to her.

I seem to recall other people talking about her as if she would definitely be there and she's even featured on some of the Glasto 2022 playlists on Spotify - have I just managed to be hit by a huge Mandela effect?!

Was there ever any information she was actually playing or do we think there's a chance she could appear? (Clear the entire Glasto weekend according to her tour dates).

She was mentioned here: https://www.sohohouse.com/en-us/house-notes/issue-006/music/the-must-see-female-acts-to-catch-this-year which we took as a self-confirm, but their info seems to have come from the fact that she was on the 2020 line-up. She's now busy Friday night and Sunday (I think?) at another festival. Damn shame.

She is incredible live, saw her on her November tour. Shame somehow she isn't here.

It is a big shame, she was incredible yesterday. But her new album is out in September so she’s a good bet to already be pencilled in for a good slot next year. All good.

Its gonna confuse people if Celeste stays on the schedule til the week of and then it gets swapped for somebody else and nobody notices.

Frustratingly her website also had glastonbury listed on her touring schedule until a week or so ago. I thought it had been removed due to it being a leak, not a cancellation.

I mean, surely if Celeste actually cancels there's no better replacement
