Tents in East CV field

Hi does anyone know how strict they are about pitching more than one tent behind our trailer tent in the CV field? We're hoping to put 2 small tents up, they would fit within the 7 x 8m space allocated. Thanks Ju

you'll be fine as long as you don't camp in the fire lane. when you park up tell them you want to pitch tents and they should give a bit more space to your neighbours.

We had a big awning on side of camper, plus two 4 men tents. 
just let them know when parking that you need extra space for tents.

I'll be doing the same.. was fine last time. just dont take the mick with tent size and the space you take up. no issues

I know you've been camping there before, but the only thing I'd add is to get hold of the parking steward as you get to the parking slot to explain what you want, so they can push the next van further down. That's what happened for us, and it saved our neighbour starting up the van to move down.

This feels like an appropriate thread to ask in... is it OK for those camping in tents to arrive in a separate vehicle?

Yes but i think you’ll have to park in a different car park and walk across to the CV field

As @Twiggy553says, unless it's a campervan or pulling a caravan/trailer tent then it will be directed to the car parking fields I believe. So get as many people as possible with your caravan /campervan and all their gear - so that anyone in the car has a light load.

Thanks @clarkete & @Twiggy553 - does this still apply for Tuesday arrivals?

Two are in a little VW camper, so plan is to load it with all the stuff and travel in the car behind.

If your friends are arriving separately to your campervan or caravan they will not be able to gain vehicular access to the campervan fields (as only one car is permitted on the pitch). They will need to buy a car park ticket to park in the public car parks, or travel by public transport, and make their way to the campervan fields on foot via the pedestrian gates. Campervans, caravans and motorhomes can arrive from midday on Tuesday. Cars are not allowed into the car parks until 9pm. 👍

In the past if the traffic management system people see a problem building up on Tuesday evening, they'll allow you to park but not start partying 👍🏻
