I think that's lovely, thank you.

I'm sure you'll get more comments once folks have calmed and are no longer frothing over clashfinder 😊

I actually did this although I planned to have a go at the clashfinder but was overwhelmed. That seemed simpler!

Silver Hayes to Pyramid is 600m according to the table, but 15 minutes?

Too much? I rounded to the higher 5 mns and in the raw data it's 12 mn. So if I change the formula to round down until 12.5 then yes it would be 10.

I think some of these are on the conservative side but really good work!

Other stage to Pyramid is an interesting one because it really depends which way you go. With the new map going from the left of the other to the pyramid is about 300m longer then the right.

I'd say so. Even walking the long way round and going slowly I don't think it would take me 15. Maybe I'm being optimistic, and I'm also relatively young and fit.

In 2019 we went from the Pyramid crowd while the Killers were on to centre of the Other crowd while the Chems were playing in <5 minutes, but that was using the cut through.

Anything involving Pyramid and Other was a pain (e.g. John Peel to...) Note that I actually picked a point in the middle of the field as a start point as couldn't think of what the best start point would be.

Thanks a lot! I'll have a look at making the formula smarter so that small distances are not too inflated.

These charts are great, thank you so much for all the effort that has gone into them.

Stupid question, I know, but just so I'm clear, having never been before. My daily 5k dog walk takes 45-55mins, (depending on weather, I live and walk in a large country park and farmers fields that can get fairly muddy,) so my general walking speed is well over 5km per hour. I assume this is not possible due to crowds? Hence the 2kmph and 3kmph listings?

I guess my question is, how much of these slow speeds is down to crowds, and how much are you putting down to mud? (which may not hinder somebody who's used to that quite as much as somebody who isn't.)

Yes that's the problem... My daily walk is faster than yours but it's all nice and flat without a soul around. That's partially why I have the excel sheet so we can judge what is realistic. Eventually add a bonus for routes going up or down though not sure how much that plays unless we are talking Strummerville/WV or to Worthy Farm.

The 6 km per hour gives me Avalon to Acoustic in  10 mn. I can see that happen. But John Peel to Block 9 in 30 mn, in a ready day and with a full Other/Pyramid field? That would be a feat (I think)

Out of likes, but thanks for the reply.

I don't 'think' hills will make too much difference, I have a few 'cardiac hills' on my walk too. 😂 (although, the WV hill does look horrendous in pics.)

Let's be real here, as a first timers, our biggest hindrance getting around is going to be distractions anyway! Wonder if you can factor into the charts wanting to check out every food stall, bar, market stall and generally interesting thing we see on our wanders? 🤔🙈😂

WV is a good one but normally you wouldn't care about timing going back up unless you have an urgent loo need (then stop at the loos at Strummerville). My last Glasto was 2018 (sniff) so I don't remember well how much Park goes up for example. I remember quite well the hike up crows nest but that's just a couple of minutes of good leg work.

And for the pros, I don't mind getting the distances questions, I was doubting on possible shortcuts, mostly around Pyramid/Other/JP. The West Holts to Avalon/Glasto Latino  one is not used for example as we had this discussion here I believe.

Are these tables assuming I am walking at a very fast pace, or is it how fast the average person walks? I walk much faster than most people.

Remember it's not only about how fast you walk but as well how many drunken Glasto goers are around, if a lake has formed somewhere etc. Unless you are a ultra-endurance trail run champion it can get tricky.

This is great work.  How fast you walk can be kind of irrelevant.  All you need to do is do one of the walks and time yourself and apply that to the rest of the table.  Someone may do a walk in 20 mins which you have down as 15 minutes, but it's all relative and you know how fast you walk yourself.

I say crackin' job.

Very true! Well I'll be leaving home wednesday lunchtime so if anyone wants to feed live times/comments until then I promise I will update. (Yeah right I'll just be running around making sure everything is packed and ready and the cats fed and....)

If Primal Scream start on JP 15 mins after Khruangbin ends on Park, will I be able to get there on time if I leave Khruangbin 15 mins before they end? Really want to get in the tent for Primal Scream, but not sure how busy we're expecting Primal Scream's set to be.

* takes glass ball out *

Wild guess: it won't be too busy with stage changes on the way. Primal scream has played before / isn't the hippest band around (don't look at me, I like them). I can see an overlap in crowd between Jesus and Mary Chain though so not sure how much the tent will empty.

It would be me (I am a time scheduling freak and not very assertive to push in a crowd) I'd give it another 5  minutes. If you are a fast walker, I'd say it's doable. Leaving a bit before the end of Khruangbin/making sure you are downhill in the crowd.

Efests specialists, please advise!

Thanks! We were already planning leaving Khruangbin 15 mins early to get there on time, so good to know! Hopefully I'll get a vibe of how far that distance is once I'm there. I definitely see Billie, Foals, and Simz all being packed at that time, so hopefully the route to Scream is not too bad.
