I didn't go in 2019 but I'm sure it was there every year before that. Little stripy tent if I remember correct, which is doubtful! I do hope it is still there, it had a great reputation, a bit off the trodden path, so as long a set in the stage hadn't just finished, not to crowded I believe it was called The Red Flag

I am fairly sure there was a bar called The Red Flag but can't remember where it was.
dogeggs
Is there a reason why they’ve labelled Bimble, Stonebridge & Liquid on the map - but none of the other bars? Edited May 11, 2022 by dogeggs
CaledonianGonzo
But there are also live performances in many of the other bars not labelled e.g. West Holts bar, Bread & Roses, whatever replaced the Fluffy Rock Cafe, etc
stopwn1981
What we thinking across the site on cash vs bank card at bars/eateries. I seem to recall using my card a bit more in 2019, but don’t recall it being universally accepted?
MJP
I suspect they’ll be trying to push cards even more because of covid. I’ll probably take £100 for places that don’t accept card or for when it’s down, then top up with the machines where needed.
stuartbert two hats
Whilst absolutely universal, 100% coverage is a very big number, I'd expect virtually all stalls to accept cards and a not insubstantial amount will be cashless. Crazyfool01
The number of people using cards will reduce the already quite short qs for cash points …. I think there is a small charge usually to use them ?
JoeyT
I wonder if the CiderBus will be taking card this year? From memory I've always paid cash.
stopwn1981
Also on a slightly different topic put still about site layout - entry gates and queue times. Thoughts for queue time at PGA midday Wednesday?

GoonerRob
Card for most things, cash for hash brownies from the random sellers in the healing fields. 😄
jefwefwef
Anyone who trades outside the festival will almost certainly have had to move to card over the last couple of years. Randos in the craft field? Shrug. Pay in sheep skins and pints of moonshine as usual I guess?

incident
It costs traders like 30 quid to get hold of a SumUp device (or similar). Usually less as they're often on offer. Anyone who doesn't mind an audit trail should have one at this point.

Places like the Fluffy Rock Cafe and Avalon Inn put people/bands on who come and ask for a gig once the festival has started and the gates are open, so it's not possible to publish the line up before the festival. squirrelarmy
Mobile card reader technology has come on a lot in the last couple of years. Even independent traders can link a card reader to a phone or tablet now. There will be those traders that prefer cash but you should be able to pay for the majority of things using your card.
Junglist1981
There was a card reader at the bake sale at my kids primary school last week 🤷♂️
