EFC1996
So let’s get excited. What’s been your favourite secret set over the years at Glastonbury and where was the set played? I’m a sucker for a fatboy secret set and I seen him at Stonebrige under the name ‘The Ox’ he came out dressed as a penguin it was brilliant. Sawdusty surfer
Madness in Lost Vagueness Big Top. The band clearly loved it and the crowd went absolutely mental!

Gacheezbo
The atmosphere at The Killers one was 10/10

WStoner
Elbow on Park Stage in 2017. I'm not an Elbow fan and don't listen to their albums etc. but like some singles. They played just as the sun was going down on Saturday(?) and it was just magical for some reason!

Jacksamthompson
Not at glasto but Greenday midday in the Nme tent at Reading 2012 is my fave set ever. Would be great if they came and did a quick set this year at glasto as they are in the country.
Tommy101
Elbow at the Park was great, but I'd throw Lianne La Havas in the Avalon into the ring too. Both felt quite special.

Gnomicide
Another for The Killers, incredible atmosphere. Same year as the Elbow one too which I also loved.
Gingerfish79
Thom and Jonny in 2010 at The Park in the sun. The lads from Vampire Weekend plus god knows who else were perched on the fence watching. A mass sing-along on the walk down the hill. Glorious stuff. Deaf Nobby Burton
This will be unpopular… but The Libertines in 2015. It was my first Glastonbury and we hadn’t really looked at who it might be, so just turned up and when that curtain dropped to reveal their name it was magical.

Hotchilidog
I enjoyed Frank Turner's many additional sets in 2019, I managed 3 of the 4 that he did. Of the bigger 'secret sets' I enjoyed the Biffy one in the Park. Had a decent vantage point from up the hill and the sound was loud enough to carry. Was a beautifully sunny day too. Scotdy
Pulp in The Park. Jarvis rambling on about Twix's and going into Common People was amazing!
vintagelaureate
The Killers in 2017. The entire afternoon there was a blast. King Gizzard, then onto Frank Carter who got the tent bouncing, the the Killers. Immense.

And that was only because I went up on the hill for a doze and woke up to Biffy kicking off and people streaming into the field

How often do just Thom and Jonny perform together? Was really special to hear some absolute classics stripped back to the core. Made me truly appreciate what great songs they were. Also much better than the Radiohead set the following year which was middling.
nikkic
+1 for Pulp. Also really enjoyed Vampire Weekend on The Park in 2019. Killers atmosphere was great but we were so far outside the tent we couldn't see a thing.
Simsy
Was there one year Franz Ferdinand did a secret set in the Park and they were handing out flyers cos they thought nobody would turn up? That must have been before everyone had smartphones and could check Twitter for secret sets

I could only hear and not see but was still so glad I hadn't missed it. Really enjoyed Django Django in Williams Green on the Thursday one year as well. Think they were the start of the secret sets on Thursday time.
