Where to stay the day/ night before??

Managed to get the Tuesday off work, so planning on driving down from the North-East on that day and staying somewhere local-ish the night before. Hopefully no more than 45 mins away from Pilton.

Any recommendations on where to stay? Predictably, a lot of places are already booked. Stayed in Cheddar a few festivals back, which was great, but can’t see anything available there 😞

A pub within walking distance is a must!

I stayed here ( Travelodge Yeovil Podimore Hotel - Book Now) ahead of the 2017 festival..was full of other people doing the same. Was about 25 min drive to Pilton.

There was a pub a few mins down the road. ( The Podymore Inn - Country Pub and Quality Restaurant in Podimore, Somerset (podymore-inn.co.uk)

We have previously stayed in the coast in Dorset for a couple of days before. This is a lovely thing in itself!
We’ve stayed at Charmouth and Beer which are both only about 40 minutes from the site in a direction that dodges a lot of traffic.

Hi There - I stay (due to work) at the holiday inn in Bridgwater which is just off the M5 and about 45mins from the site also give a good approach for both East and West sides for the car parking.  There's 3 pubs in walking distance.  £97 with breakfast currently

We stayed in Frome in 2010 (Frome Flyer) and it was an absolute breeze getting in. No more than 25-30 minutes from leaving the Travel Tavern to parking up. Easiest journey ever. Passable pub on site for evening meal and a pint, quiet and comfy.
